As you attend meditation training in Calgary, you will develop the faculty of mindfulness. Mindfulness training will allow you to become more aware, more attentive, and more disciplined. To develop mindfulness is to lead the mind to a state of equanimity. Practicing mindfulness, especially through meditation, is widely accepted as an effective way to improve mental and emotional wellness.

Equanimity

What matters most is not what happens to an individual but how they respond to what happens to them. Equanimity is a state characterized by full acceptance and non-bias, the impartiality of an individual in witnessing their own experiences. In practice, equanimity involves a shift in perspective towards emotional and mental equilibrium. During meditation training, we will introduce you to the choice to encompass an equanimous existence.

Self-directed attention involves voluntarily and consciously choosing where and on what you choose to direct your attention. The direction of a heat lamp dictates what will grow, whether flowers or thorns. Where an individual places their attention dictates what they will cultivate. Meditation training is where this faculty can be honed and sharpened.

During our group coaching classes, we focus on the development of mindfulness, equanimity, and self-directed attention through a variety of movement patterns and facilitated directions. These classes are about investigation and new possibilities.

Performance Consulting

Performance coaching is for high-achieving individuals with a specific goal in mind. Many of our consulting clients are high-level athletes, corporate executives, and business owners. We require participants to be mentally prepared and resilient.
